Description:
Late Bar with Music
Review:
Situated on Aston Quay just beside Temple Bar, this pub offers a different atmosphere to the normal one found in Temple Bar. First off, it doesn't open until 8 in the evening and if you drop in at 8, you may find yourself to be the only person in there. The crowd slowly builds up over the course of the night until it does be packed. After about 10, there is a charge in but they do offer live music, a nightclub and a closing time of 4am. While the cost of a pint is the usual high Dublin price, incidentally the barstaff are friendly and excellent with their service, you'd know by the look of the place that it would be so. If it's a night of great craic and entertainment you're looking for all under the one roof, the Viper Room has a lot to offer you.

- This place could be good if they didn't let so many people in around the 11/12 o' clock mark....they let a disgraceful amount of people in. i've never been in a pub or club that i actually couldn't physically move in. we had to battle our way through. even then it was near impossible. so if you're thinking of going here get in early and leave early and go somewhere else!!!

- Myself and a group of friends went to the Viper Room last year, it was a very good night! However, the entrance fee was too much at 10 euros and we refused. We were then told we could pay five instead, which was a bonus! My advice would be to do what we did. Especially if you are a group of girls looking for a good night!

- This place gives me the creeps. It has a great look upstairs, and the decor and live music up their is fantastic. The bouncers are quite odd though. When you go down to the basement however, the place is small (but the dancefloor is quite class!) and it smells a little odd. Not exaclty the most liveliest of places to end your night!!!

- Only recently discovered this place. First time I was there the place was packed but the crowd were well behaved and very friendly. Great live music upstairs. It's a great place to go for a few pints after a hard nights work

- The only pub to go to when you've been refused fron everywhere else, refusal is a common thing here and if the doormen dont like the look of you then you've no hope. Saying that if you do make it inside its well worth it, with not a tracksuit or footie shirt in sight the clientle is mostly a mix of barstaff and minor celebs,a great late nite out, but you'll pay in da mornin'.

- Never been treated so horribly by door men. First they charge us 10 Euro for admission, then about an hour later, they ask us to leave because they don't like the way we look.

- Congratulations, Its a pleasure to go there, with something for everyone, live music upstairs, disco downstairs. Its a place to feel safe in. Lovely Coctails and no hugh rip off prices. I have told everyone about it. Well done.

- The Viper Room is a great spot for any one who fancies a late beer, 4 is the closing time, with live music upstairs and a night club down stairs, security are tight because of the hours most likely. But once you're in the door you'll probably be rubbing shoulders with minor celebs.

- The doormen won't even give a genuine reason for entry refusal (probably something to do with pride). They'll just say "I don't know you" and say unprovoked things like "Do you want me to hit you?" in front of listening witnesses in the queue.

- The worst night out I've had in a good while. Was made to feel like a child by the so-called head doorman. Once inside my wife was asked out after the bar closed by same doorman. Clientele consisted of normal good guys but there was also a lot of rough types. Zero out of ten.

- Used to be kind of trendy... went last Fri after about 2 yrs. Only place still letting people in at 3:30 am. 8 of us Paid EUR 10 each in. Upstairs so disgustingly packed took about 15 mins to plough our way to the stairs. Downstairs almost as bad. No chance of getting a drink as only 1 barman. Club way over fire safety capacity. Decided to leave as we were actually scared! Bouncer refused to refund. Manager was 'out sick'. Noticed that our tickets said 'price: 0.00' so can guess who was pocketing the tenners. Still letting people in when we were leaving at 3:45 am, even though was shutting at 4:00 am. No door policy in place it seems, people inside were horribly drunk, falling all over the place. Absolute nightmare! Avoid at all costs!!!!

- The Viper Room, isn't that a clever rip off of a really famous venue in Los Angeles where real stars go. Avoid this place unless (A) your really desperate or (B) the crowd your with might get you barred from somewhere you usually drink. I don't know how this place passed fire regulations its like a Viet Cong tunnel. Very old. Very Dark (to hide the dirt) very nasty!
