I happened by this Pub on the way back from visiting the river Liffey one morning. Being my first time to Ireland and very curious I chanced a peek inside and saw one other woman and decided it would be safe to take a seat and order a pint. The place grew on me, soon I was hooked on the charm of the staff and never even ventured to the Temple Bar district as the regulars at the Windjammer were so welcoming. I felt like part of the family the first night. I'll definately make it back to Dublin and the Windjammer.
If it's oddballs and factory workers you crave the company of, then the Windjammer is your only man, a sprinkling of post Debs couples and a few off duty gardai makes this place a favourite watering hole of the young and desperate! Not a bad pint and friendly barstaff make this an early house of choice for those fortunate enough to be still sober(ish) after a night out and still wanting more drink!
