The Village is situated on Wexford Street and as well as being a live music
venue it is also a fine place as a bar. The layout is spacious and airy.
We dropped in on a lazy Saturday afternoon and the atmosphere was laid back
with lazy jazz music playing overhead making us more relaxed as we took
our places on the comfortable barstools. Now, the service was excellent
and the pints tasted fine but the price for a pint was expensive. Apart from
the prices it is a fine addition to Dublin and we look forward to seeing a
few gigs there in the near future as they seem to be getting a good selection
of bands playing.
Great venue room at the back with some gigs. Nice bar at the front. Nice crowd. Comnfortable and casual.
Recently opened bar and venue, with dj David
Kitt in there on a Friday (who even played Curtis Mayfield on demand)
The music is eclectic and funky, the punters are hip (or at least attempting
to be). generally pretty laid back. Service is good. What I like about the
bar is its spaciousness and I love the faux brown leather cubed seats at the
back - Very comfy!. Clearly I am getting old. I haven't gone to a gig there
yet, but watch this space.
