- I think this pub is an excellent venue for watching any band/group. You can see the the stage from anywhere in the pub. I have been the a few times now and every time I come to Dublin I make sure I visit the Sub for the Music

- The Sub is currently under new management...Theres is going to be a lot of change in the next few weeks...it will be restored to the way it was...All the big name bands will be back...Aslan are playing here on December 27th...watch this space for more information!

- This WAS one of the best pubs in Dublin, not just for matches, but also some of the best cover bands around; sadly, it was rebuilt and along with the prices going sky-high, the fancy new pub could never capture what the old sub really was !!

- From exterior to interior the Sub is a class of its own. Well designed and positioned in a location with no other substantial competition one would wonder why it is that it only draws crowds for football games..Answer the price of a pint!!! Even though its located well out from the city center you will find your self paying top dollar of a drink here. Also the local residence keep a tight eye on the place so even a sound monitor has been installed and the dance floor covered with tables so no boogieing allowed..Recommended for picking up men though only during football season.

- I'd like to know what the big deal is with this pub! only time its full is when theres football on. it used to be really popular with the younger crowd at the weekend. i went in for the first time a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and it was fairly dead. there was a younger crowd upstairs but even then it was dead. the inside IS nice though. really spacious. i'd say matches and bands playing would be great in it. the stage looks very well - like a theatre stage! but i wouldn't be in a mad rush back. - maybe if i was bored.
