- I was there tueday jan 16th jan 2007 for the trad music - it was 10/10 amazing atmosphere the craic was great it had a late bar to so no rushing to the nightclubs. I'll be back there in the summer p.s. the crispy duck dish was to die for....

- Great pub, I stopped in with a few friends for a bite to eat and ended up staying till the wee hours, food was lovely and bar staff were very friendly. Live music was good craic too.

- I manage an American Football Club. After training every Sunday we visit the Old punchbowl for Carvery / Bar food. The food is excellent. Good size portions. The Punch Bowl also televises all sports events on large screens. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would recommend it to all..

- Myself and three friends of mine from the States on holiday here went to the old punchbowl for barfood. We found the food cold and made a complaint to management the guy shrugged his shoulders and took the food away. The food returned and it was all soggy. We got no apology and paid the full bill. We didn't even eat the food, would not recommend this pub to anybody.
