Delaneys is a handy bar for a quiet drink in suburbia. The decor is old n grubby with terrible uneasy lighting that is not very pleasant. It has alot of potential to .;..blah blah blah... they need to start serving a carvery and lunchtime menu.
I have been drinking in the pubs in Firhouse for 30 years. I would rate Delaney's the best because they have good staff and they have good standards of service. There are no drugs or bad language . The toilets are always clean .
A great pub , lots of parking, friendly locals, good food, nice pint, helpfull staff, good location. ballyboden gaa. club knocklyon united junior soccer pitches,on the foothills of the Dublin mountains
Also Known as Delaney's. Delaneys has all the qualities of a local pub. As soon as you walk into the lounge, the bar staff greet you with that old Irish welcome. "Come in and have a pint". The layout is homely and puts you at ease. Your not suddenly thrown into the view of strangers. The lounge staff are friendly and more than helpful. Even the management are seen to be pulling the pints and mopping the floors. All in all, you couldnt ask for more from a local.
I really like this spot a lot. The pint is delightfully delicious, it's when it touches your lips till the last drop. I would recommend you try this place, as it is AWESOME.
Steady on anonymous. I thought cead mile failte was the old Irish welcome, If you look carefully at the picture of Delaney's there are only two cars outside and that was during Ireland's world cup campaign (Allegedly)! The interior decor is rotten, that pink paint job on the outside is gaudier than the floozy in the Jacuzzi was and since the Firhouse bypass was completed about two years ago, you would think they might have spruced it up by now! Mortons down the road did a lovely job on the outside of their premises after all the road works finished! verdict: Mortons 1-Delaney's 0
