The Eleanora is situated in Drimnagh on Dublin's southside. It offers both a lounge and
a bar section although this review will concentrate on the lounge area. Upon entering we
headed left, to be found an area with comfortbale old style pub seating with a bar on the
right. We headed down the back of the pub where there is a large open seating area - mainly
wooden and cushioned seating. The bar service was good and there is an abundance of attentive
lounge staff to cater for your needs. For sporting events there is a large screen TV as well
as regular TV's dotted around the pub - and it shows live matches on Saturday afternoons. There is also a carvery for the all important pub lunch which looked very appetizing. The pints were 'delish' and keenly priced. On the Friday night we were there, there was a DJ and an entertaining pub quiz. All said, a good spot for a relaxing pint with friends in comfortable surroundings or a good place for a lunch and a newspaper.
Great food, clean and friendly.
The Eleanora is a good pub to watch the football in on a Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere is good, the service grand and the pints of beer were crisp and tasty.
Sunday dinners served in the Eleanora are delish!! Great for Sunday afternoon watching football (or watching blokes watching football - girls!) Comfy pub with a lively atmosphere and friendly staff.
