Description:
Casual Pub w/Music
Review:
The Celt on Talbot Street is a fine little pub to spend a night in. It has live music 7 nights a week and free admission. The wooden interior complements it's feel as 'auld' style 'Irish' pub but is very much country based as opposed to Dublin based. The service and value is quite good, the prices are keen and this is a good pub to visit during the week for a bit of entertainment.

Public Reviews:
- That's the place 2 go in Dublin. Can't wait 2 go back and having another pint of guinness. Miss you all and c yours in a while. All the best from Alaska and take care of yourselves.

- Great bar. Easygoing ambience. Eclectic clientele. Every night has a good live session. Friendly staff (Country chap particularly is a great barman.) I highly recommend this bar to all, especially new visitors to Dublin to sample some of the best craic in Dublin.

- This is what i would call an irish pub, as it was wooden floored piano in the corner and the place was jumpin with the feet tappin away to the great tunes from the band worth gettin too.

- We just happened to come upon The Celt. Once inside we fell in love with it. We were 7 girls and it was the first time all 7 of us were in Ireland. The atmosphere was laid back. The Irish people inside were friendly and the staff befriended us. They were all great. We had the best time in The Celt and even though we were only in Dublin for 3 days The Celt is where we usually ended up. I'd love to go back!

- It was the 2nd pub we went into and the story ended there!! One man and his guitar had us up in the centre of the pub making a holy show of ourselves!! All those years of Irish dancing lessons finally were put to use!!We were soon feeling at home with the more than hospitable locals and the staff were fantastic!!Some of us even got the grand tour of the cellar!! If there is one pub that will ensure you go home with a few memories to make you smile, if not cringe, then it's this one!!! 4 days, 5 girls,1 pub!The Celt, we raise our glasses to you!!!

- The first time I was in this Pub, I was refused a drink, which amazed me, as it was only 1.30 in the morning. The next time was a Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was electric. A buxom lass who was no stranger to a chocolate biscuit was doing an Irish jig with a pint of Guinness in her hand. What a mess! I don't know who the folk duo were but it didn't really matter. Great atmosphere! Great pub!

- Spent 6 days in Dublin and almost everynight was a must at the Celt. Music was fantastic, patrons friendly, staff were great and the Guiness flowed freely. Wonderful evenings spent elbow to elbow with singers, dancers, musicians, and poets, with locals and foreigners, we came away with an appreciation that perhaps we were allowed a little peek into a true Irish pub.

- Flew into Dublin early Saturday morning from New York w/a buddy and came across the Celt in the afternoon. The bar is cozy and big with friendly faces. Immediately struck up several conversations with the terrific patrons...after a few pints the owner (Ronan Tynan's cousin), spotted my NYPD jacket and bought us pints on the house. We spent the next few hours laughing and drinking the night away. This pub is what Ireland is all about! On a side note, the pub has many endearing photos and knick-knacks...one of which is of a mother holding a set of triplets...the first set born in Dublin. Gerry pointed out the picture then brought us over to the only surviving triplet...who was having a Guinness with friends...she must be in her late 80's...you can't make this stuff up. Great time, great friends...great pub!!

- Not a bad Pub at all. We stayed nearby so it was easy to get to and they played the Wolfetones over the speakers, which is no bad thing. Drink was quite cheap, and the front-pages from old newspapers gives you something to read while taking a pee!
