- The steps down to The Cellar Bar, part of the Merrion Hotel, would remind you of the Entrance to "Cheers". Inside it is very impressive but equally cosy as the old vaulted cellars provide a maze of alcoves to sit in. The prices are slightly on the expensive side but the wonderful, spotless surroundings and the helpful waiting staff make it worthwhile and it seems well suited to the business crowd.

- As a person who expects good quality, espeically from a five star establishment like the Merrion hotel,I found the Cellar Bar to be a dissapointment in every aspect,on my arrival the bar was packed beyond capacity and the staff seemed uninterested and incapable of serving in a timley and helpfull manner due to the bad managment of this bar. Though this bar may be a fashionable place for youngsters it does not live up to the five star expections by a mile.
