The Bankers is located on Trinity Street just off the hustle and
bustle of Dame Street close to the St.Andrews Church Tourist
Information Centre. The pint is one of the cheapest of all the pubs
in the surrounding area. Space is at a premium downstairs but the
Bankers also has an upstairs. Over the weekends you can boogie on
down to the hits of the 60's, 70's and 80's brought to you by a live
DJ on the nights. It has normal pub hours all week. Best recommended
for a quiet couple of scoops after a long day working, shoppping or
sight-seeing.
Lads, Without doubt one of the best nights I ever had was when I went to see The Craic Pack comedy perform their show one wet Friday nite earlier this year. Its an improvised show which means that we give them the ideas and then they make something up straight away. My favourite game waswhen they kept changing accents. These guys are absolutley hilarious I honestly don't know how they come up with the stuff so quickly. If you're interested in going though I would defintiely recommend that you book throughthe pub- the nite I went they turned away about 20 people and the room can only hold about 50. Best lauh I have had in ages- a must see!!
Excellent pub to start off a session or to have a few quite ones in the afternoon. Great staff who always have time for a few words and always a nice mixed crowd. Toliets and pub are always clean, a very important point.
A very peaceful pub for an afterwork drink, good crowd at weekends, exceptional pint of the black stuff at a reasonable price, very friendly chatty and efficient staff, very clean lavotries - always important, I'll be returning again for sure.
The Bankers is a great little boozer with good craic and great pints at the right prices. Great for a quiet pint or food during the day and a good crowd at weekends, just the right place to go before hitting the clubs.
