Sadlers, situated on Parkgate Street, is an ideal location for some pints with friends anytime of the week.
The interior both upstairs and downstairs is well laid well out and instantly relaxing. The pints are a little
expensive but are very tasty. A function room is available. The great thing about Parkgate Street is that
all of the pubs have their own individual appeal and Sadlers would probably appeal more to the younger crowd
with it's choice of music. Having said this, they also offer good food. We'd have no hesitation in heading
back to nejoy the festivities all over again.
We should point out that we were there on the 12 June 2004, when the Red Hot Chili Peppers were playing at
the Phoenix Park. The staff of Sadlers performed admirably in their task of serving many a thirsty reveller
and the atmosphere that they created made us almost not want to leave. Tables and seats adorned the streets
outside as well as a live DJ playing excellent tunes. The day was sunny and the atmosphere was great, hopefully
there'll be many more great days and nights in store for Sadlers.
Dark, rich interior. Cosy. Where I discovered Smithdicks beer. My friend latched onto Carlsberg beer. Nice place to sit with friends and have a few rounds.
