The Sackville Lounge is hidden away just off O'Connell Street in Sackville Place. This is a small pub consisting of one room. It's a very old style Dublin Pub mainly full of older punters who seem to sit around all day talking. Service is grand, the pints are not expensive. This is a good pub to have a pint read the news and relax.
This pub is a true dublin gem , a real irish pub in the heart of the big city. It's friendly atmosphere, competitive pricing and top quality Guinness makes it second to none. The bar staff make you feel right at home, even on your first visit. All in all this is a pub you can have a quiet pint in the afternoon or have a fun saturday night out in .
It's four Euros for a very good pint of Guinness and a very pleasant atmosphere, somewhere you can take your partner and be relaxed. Very laid back nice decor and furnishings. The toilets drop down and down and down. Make sure when you come out the pub at night you turn left back into O'Connell street and not right.
I discovered this pub many years ago while on a pub crawl and its become a regular haunt for me when i'm out and about in town. Small, intimite, charming and relaxed is how I would describe it. The pint is good, certainly one of the best around. The staff are friendly, jovial and helpful. If you go in on your own you'll easily find yourself in a conversation with someone but will also be left alone if your in reading.
