- For those who are interested in excellent food complimented by the best score of traditional Irish music, best pints around and staff who are more than welcoming, Pollyhops is the place. On my last visit to Ireland I called in and realized that it is the same owner (Frank) as in my local Bar Dohertys in Midtown Manhattan. Another place I would recommend for those on vacation to NYC.

- Designated dessie! Where are you? This is a pub you wouldn't walk to! You need a driver(Who's not drinking!). A nice, well themed irish pub! Good quality pints and friendly staff. With the biggest beer garden in Lucan it's definetly worth a trip on those sunny summer evenings.

- I love Polyhops! I was only there once recently and landed there by chance as it's a bit in the middle of nowhere and near no where, irrelevant for someone that often goes to the city. From the outside, the tavern-like look didn't attract me. I was only interested in a quick stay for dinner (they cooked us home-made dinner after the hours of serving- very nice) but the locals were just so friendly I got chatting. A trad band came to this tiny pub and before I knew it I was doing the hokey pokey with Scotsmen!! A really class night in a top pub, lovely atmosphere and genuine regulars. I will definitely go again.
