Peter's Pub can be found on Johnsons Place just around the
corner from the Stephens Green Shopping Centre. It is a very
peaceful pub during the day and is very conversation driven
at night. Due to it's size (it's small - kind of like a living
room) it can get full and most of the seats are usually taken
at night. It is open the regular pub hours nightly. The prices
are reasonable compared to some pubs in the area. The staff
are experienced and friendly.
It also has limited but welcome none-the-less outdoor seating
complete with coverings and on the Friday afternoon we spent
wiling away the hours, the barstaff were more than happy to bring
pints to your table.
Peter's Pub is a good spot for a pint after the theatre (The Gaiety)
which is just the corner or for a relaxing one after shopping -
look out for it's collection of steins and drinking glasses!
Very much enjoyed Peter's Pub! Wonderful staff. Barman Bernard provided great service and was quite the movie/music buff. Thanks.
Great pub if your meeting a friend for lunch. Nice toasties and homemade soup. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff, nice bit of character to the place!
What a fantastic place down there in Dublin. Came there first in 2004 and loved it!!
One of the few real pubs left in the city. No loud backround music (unless you count the students from the Music school at Christmas). Does fantastic home made sandwiches and good coffee too. Small and cosy and you will always be made feel welcome. Be carefull if you are using the gents and are over 5 foot tall !!
A gem of a bar which I visited is Peter's pub on Johnsons Place very near the top of Grafton Street. This oasis is off the tourist trail and a genuine Dublin bar, frequented mainly by Dubs. A pint of Guinness is not only cheap but served with the traditional shamrock in its head (the white cream-coloured top of a Guinness). Service is excellent and the coffee is recommended for non-drinkers. The toilets were really clean and don't forget to admire the genuine Jameson whisky mirror.
A superb pub, great pint and great food at lunchtime, kept really clean and most of all superb staff.
