Lacks atmosphere, brings new meaning to quite drink, older place, nice layout good beer but compared to what it used to be, its nothing special, although some where where you could go and talk and hear the person speaking.
Definitely a quiet pub, however excellent in all other respects, good Guinness, very good service, competitive price, opens early. The layout is somewhat aukward and the paint looks a bit tired but once you're settled in it's very comfortable, with a nice gas fire in the snug at the end of the pub, there is also a darts board and chess sets for anyone who likes a more interactive pub. Very suitable for meeting close friends for a personal or private chat.
