- Mortons has become the stuff of legends in the "4 house" for many years now since nearby Delany's was severed from D24 by the M50 motorway. After the tarmac was laid across the route of regulars from firhouse they veered North to Mortons.
Characters like 'dark cloud' and 'bella doyle' of Fair City fame made sure that Mortons became a destination for star spotters from as far away as terenure. The recent introduction of a DJ on saturday nights has made it even more popular with the 'rowdier' crowd, much to the disappointment of dark cloud and his band of surly men. Nowadays a certain mystery man wearing a variety of jordan F1 caps can be seen dancing romantically with a rubber chicken to the slow set. some say he is the ghost of a boy who drowned in the dodder nearby, others just say he is sick.
Even the smoking ban couldnt dampen the mighty spirit of Mortons. they built a new shelter fit for gods with a beautiful view onto ancient greece painted on the walls. This Christmas eve promises to be the biggest and best in an annual series of epic sessions of madness which grace mortons and sally park afterwards.
Mortons will truly remain a beacon for people from the 4 whether they be home or abroad.

- This is a nice, quiet establishment where you can have a few well-deserved pints with your friends and actually hear what they're saying. With its spacious, open flooring, there'll be no danger of spilling your drink by tripping over people's toes on the way back from the bar! The toilets are also well maintained, although there is sometimes a shortage of soap, there are also aftershave dispensers (if you can get them working) if you're on your way out to impress the lay-dees. Bar and lounge staff are friendly and efficient, the drink is reasonably priced and well worth it. All in all, it's not a bad place. Rating: 7/10

- Great late night sessions on Sundays. Starts about 9pm. Lots of locals join in with Maurice Lennon of Stockton's Wing on the fiddle. Also saw him there on a Thursday night with another fiddle player Phil McCaffery. Both nights were great.
