- The Horse and hound is a comfortable pub with a modern yet very local feel. Its wooden finishings and comfortable seating allow the punter to relax in a quiet environment during the day, yet have plenty of space to socialise on the busy Friday and Saturday nights. A nice new beer garden/smoking area has been added to the rear.

- This hide-away could be older than some of its current patrons - except ME! As a wee snapper then, I saw it built in "Harmoniestown", and in later years enjoyed its magnetic local appeal. Its facade has changed little since, but I do have some interesting tales on its history. A pub well worth a visit, if for nothing less than a quiet brew, local grub and folklore! - Slainte!!
