Firworks used to be a Fire Station and has the laregest open plan ceiling of
all the pubs in Dublin. It is a large place generally full of a late teens to
late twenties crowd. Over the three levels, you can see down to the floor below.
The atmosphere is good and the dancefloor on the top level is always full. The pints
are expensive but the barstaff are quick with their orders. This place fills up
rather quickly so to avoid queueing get there early. It is best suited for a night
out with friends to let your hair down and have a good time.
Easily the most entertaining night spot in the capital. Three floors, pool tables + plenty of people working behind the bar mean only the mighty Spirit on Abbey st. can rival this fine establishment on a good Saturday night.
Nice bar with late music. Expensive pints but not to expensive to enter. This isi the sort of place you go to have a good time with your mates. Recommend!
Brand new superpub that opened in mid July 2000. A 60 yard queue to get in at 10pm on a Saturday tells its own story. Yes mad people queuing for a bloody pub! Another O'Dwyer Bros/Capital Bars plc effort. These boys know their stuff. Another superpub for Dublin city. How super it will be remains to be seen.
Haven't been in this place in ages but last time it was an underage haven! Think the door policy restricted clientele to teenagers only! I hope things have changed.
