I miss this place. This to me was what a Dublin pub should be. Friendly, cheap and cheerful and full of memorabelia from the greatest band in the world. I would give anything to have a pint here again, shame theyve knocked almost everything around there. The shell of this building and the boarded up old windmill lane studios seem to be all thats left and im sure they dont have long either.
Unfortunately this pub has now been knocked down due to developements on the quays were it was situated
Looks like a dump, even a little intimidating, go through the doors and you will be converted. Draws the crowds mainly on a Friday evening. Don't be surprised to see people you would last expect to socialising around the bar. A haunt for the rich & famous and not wanting to be bothered celebrity. Seen U2, and Brad Pitt to name 2 enjoying an undisturbed drink in it's quarters. A real diamond in the rough ! Worth a visit to be convinced it is the same pub on the inside as in out. Drink is prompt, reasonable and very good.
