Situated 'inside' an Georgian House on Leeson Street, this pub
decieves from the outside. The thoughts of what it could be and
what it is could not be more different. As soon as you enter, the
pub area opens up into a fine wood based enviroment in which it is
great to sip a few pints which are great value considering the area
- 3.50 a Guinness - on a Saturday afternoon, be warned however, prices
may increase in the evening. The layout is good with plenty of seating
available. The barstaff are friendly and chatty and they do pour
good tasting pints. Having said all this, Darby O'Gills has one other
thing going for it that not many other pubs in the city centre have -
it has a fine beer garden which transplants you from the city
of Dublin to a peaceful haven which is a glorious place to sit, chat
and sup on sunny days. It also has a nightclub downstairs which opens
about 11 so you can continue on the night dancing. All said, an excellent
pub.
This place looks and feels great, you could even forget you were in Dublin being here and to top it off a great night club down stairs. I have enjoyed many an early evening here mixing with some great looking girls, a very friendly place...I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good bar to start the night out before going clubbling....
