Went on Saturday night. No Beer Garden anymore but possibly the best music I've ever heard in a Dublin pub....realy mellow up untill 11 or 12 and then the dancefloor realy lifted. I think I've found my new Satuday night home!
Great Pub and nice staff. A nicely lit fire and a few pints during the winter while in college is the best.
Was idly wandering around for a saturday bite and ended up here eating their version of bangers and mash. Unbelievably tasty and well priced. There's a chef in there somewhere who knocks the socks off most overpriced restaurants in temple bar. Well done!
A tad pretentious. it's not really my scene.
Once populated by the beer migrants of the strict door policy on the capital bar, the Bia Bar has come into its own. A young and friendly staff, great food and a great beer garden has helped attract a very eclectic crowd. You will feel comfortable in this bar. The beer garden is the cherry on the cake. Its large and holds the sun a lot longer than most places in the city. Behind the beer garden sit empty plots thus no buildings to stop that ever so precious summer sun. The perfect early sessions bar on hot summer weekends.
Dropped into this new bar on Stephen St. last week and found an OASIS at the rear of the pub !Boasting what has to be one of the coolest beer gardens (they call it a Beer "Terrace" !) with palm trees covered awnings and a pebbled floor, we stayed 'till it got dark then headed inside to what has to be one of the best DJ sets I've heard in years. All this and they do food 'till ten which is as good as you'll get in any restaurant. I'll be back!
