We do enjoy very much Beaumont House, for beers and food as well. The house is wonderfully decorated and the woody library under the roof in the back hall makes a warm atmosphere.
I go to this bar regarualy it is a great spot you never know who you might see there. It is a dear pub but it is worth it .There is never any trouble there and the place is spotless.it always good for the football matches.recently they have a panio bar upstais which is class.
Expensive food that frankly is not worth the price and the drink did not taste good when I visited (Sunday afternoon). Bertie Ahern was there when I was there and I was stopped from going outside for a cigarette by his security staff
Large and busy suburban pub, often frequented by nurses, DCU students and Bertie. Has had the reputation of the dearest pint on the northside for a long time and the recent (pre 2004) hike to 4euro for a Guinness maintains the trend. Excellent food service, but overall thumbs down for the prices this far from the city centre.
In relation to food in this pub, it is much more expensive than other pubs of it's ilk in this area and the portions are ridiculously small. If it's value for money you're seeking you will not find it here, scarcely surprising it was half empty at lunchtime on a Sunday.
If you want a quiet pint, this is the place. With prices so high, its always empty. Staff are not the best, very abrupt and patronising. Food is good but very expensive and very small portions. Not a great place, to be avoided if possible. Nicer pubs just up the road.
