How to do it:
First smoke a cigarette about half way down.
Lick your thumb. Yes, lick it! You must lick right above your thumbnail....

With your thumbnail pointing down, place the filter part of the cigarette against the moist part of your thumb. Your thumbnail should be pointing down, he lit end of the cigarette pointing up.
Hold the cigarette against your thumb with your index finger. Once again, thumbnail down, cigarette pointing up.
Now you're ready for the trick. After getting everybody's attention begin waving your arm in front of the cigarette telling everyone to watch carefully. Keep both hands in motion, moving them in front of each other.

Now let go with your index finger and open your hand. Put all your fingers straight out and your thumb straight up. The cigarette is hidden by your thumb, the tip of the cigarette should be near your wrist. Don't hold it in this position, but close your hand once again holding the cigarette with your index finger.

The trick should only last about 1 second.
For the trick to be scary you must act like you're going to stick it in your 'victim's eye. When you fling your hand open you should be one or two inches away from their face.
