Basically a Manhattan made with a different whiskey, this is named after
the Scottish warrior of years ago who's film was made a few years ago around
the same time as Braveheart but was not as well received even though many say
it is the better film.
He did manage however to get a cocktail named after him which is cooling in
the summer when served on the rocks and soothing in the winter when served
straight. And we think that having a cocktail named after you is better than
an Oscar but then we would say that wouldn't we?
Two ounces of scotch and half an ounce of sweet vermouth, stirred and poured through a strainer, with more than an occasional dash of bitters
