Tony released his Debut album "Hell's Kitchen" last October to critcal acclaim but the campaign suffered a set back when the remaining of the album stock disappeared, I'm afraid that's all that can be said at this point for legal reasons. In order not to get lost in the Christmas rush it was decided not to distribute the replacement stock until the end of January.
Tony spent October & November gigging whereever he could find a willing audience, he went from strength to strength leaving a wake of thrilled audiences behind. Upcoming gigs will be announced shortly. Over the Xmas period Tony had an opportunity to start the pre-production of his next offering, which will have a more acoustic live feel than Hell's kitchen which should emulate Tony's dynamic live performance.
"When I first heard Tony Vaughan's demos for his Hell's Kitchen project I was immediately struck by the integrity of his music and the passion in his voice. Here was a man writing not from the second hand experiences of other writers but directly exploring his own world, and his own heart and soul. We need more like him. ", Jackie Hayden, Hot Press Magazine
"In 'Hells Kitchen' Tony reveals an accomplished talent working in the Tom Kimmel / John Mellincamp variety with a dash of electronica and a pop/rock sensibility. The snappy title track and 'Everything to Someone Else' display a sharp incisive lyrical mind and a penchant for addictive melodies. Keith Donald adds his characteristic saxes to 'In this Reign'. Tony Vaughan's trade is pop rock basically with subtle ambient electronics and he can pen a decent song without sounding too much like David Gray. America calls and maybe if someone in Music Row or the Brill Building were to listen -who knows ?", John O'Regan, Irish Music Magazine
