Description: ROCK is solo artist Derek Hagan originally from Meath, Ireland now residing in the UK. Disillusioned by the never ending stream of manufactured pop, lifeless performers, and bad cover versions ROCKIDLE feels his material of melodic, guitar based, catchy rock, lyrically strong more than stands out against the musical mainstream of today. ROCKIDLE has just completed work on an 11 track CD album (with a full band sound, more mixing needed) entitled "Sunny Side Up" which has been reviewed by LOGO MAGAZINE as "ROCKIDLE this week's hot investment tip, and our tip for the future". ROCKIDLE is currently gigging extensively in the London area and has played gigs at The Rock Garden,The 100 Club, and The Cherry Jam in London. Check website for more live information. ROCKIDLE has received favourable reviews in Logo, Hot Press Magazines, The South London Guardian, Sound The Sirens Magazine, and featured in NME drawing comparisons with David Gray (only better), The Verve, Badly Drawn Boy and Pulp in their pomp and is currently attracting some considerable amount of record company interest. A demo version of the track "You've Got It Made" appears on the January release by Matchbox Recordings entitled "Blast Off" which features material from the best unsigned artists. The song reached number 2 in the Matchbox Radio unsigned chart and spent 12 weeks in the top 10 as voted by the listeners of the station. The song is currently at number 17 in the MP3 unsigned chart.
