Anima started off originally as a four piece with Cillian Foster(lead guitar,backing vocals), Anthony Furey(vocals and bass),Justin Flynn(drums) and Steve Brown(rythm guitar). This line up lasted until 2001

ANIMA reformed in 2003 as two pieceband keeping the original name, and two original members, Anthony Furey and Cillian Foster. The pair now focus on a more acoustic approach.

Cillian and Anthony have been working hard since the return. playing many venues including Vicar Street where they supported the Fureys in early March. They have also supported Hayley Reid and Stone Ocean in the Voodoo lounge, and Aslan in the Anglers Rest.

The pair have also written and recorded their self titled e.p. Anima which was recorded at home on a twelve track and contains the tracks:
Father, Mistakes, Together Forever, Memories of mine, Just, Grafton St.

Radio play:
Back in 2000/2001 Anima were being played on the Dublin station Freedom 92fm , now Sugar 91fm. These were tracks from their first demo with the old lineup. The new cd sees Anima offering more depth to the listener compared with the earlier release. Now in 2004 Anima have again been played on Sugar 91 fm thanks to resident dj Al Murray and have also been played on Phantom thanks to resident dj Neil Austin.
