The only train system that is really useful for the Dublin area
would be the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport). This is a one line
operation that strecthes from Howth on the Northside as far as Bray
on the Southside running along the coast of Dublin only.
The DART operates from 6.30 in the morning to 11.30 at night.
The fares range from 1 to 2.05 one way depending on where
you are heading or coming from.
The DART service is generally quicker than the buses at peak
daytime traffic but can be slower at night when the roads are
emptier.
